An intriguing project that seeks to represent desolation through photographs of overwhelmingly large and empty scenarios — making the weight of melancholy visible through the contrast between the scale of the environment and the human figure.

Soledad was part of the Punto de Inicio open call, organized by the Museo de Fotografía Palacio Dionisi, the Agencia Córdoba Cultura and the Agencia Córdoba Joven of the Government of Córdoba. The program supports the photographic development of young artists from Córdoba by giving them the opportunity to exhibit their work professionally inside the museum.
The photographs were framed in dark-toned painted wood, printed on matte paper and mounted behind anti-reflective glass with a white print border — a treatment that isolates each work and invites reflection on the emotions it carries. The curatorial layout paid close attention to the placement and rhythm of the works within the rooms, so that the ideas of magnitude and solitude remain present throughout the visit.
